Early Embryonic Development

This is our sketch of early embryonic development. To remember this is our “EARLY EMBRYONIC” development sketch, we added an EARLY rising sun next to some burning EMBERS (EARLY EMBryonic development). We will explore this sketch from left to right to show the high-yield stages of embryonic development. Starting with our guy tossing some blast-symbol bread into a fire pit with 6 sticks (in the first 6 days, the blastocyst STICKS on day SIX).

Next is our guy under the tree with two branches (week 2). Notice the bread has two layers now (In week 2, there is formation of the bilaminar embryonic disc with two layers = epiblast, hypoblast).

Right to him is a tree with three branches (week 3). Under that tree is a guy with a three-layer bread (In week 3, there is formation of trilaminar embryonic disc = endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm). Notice our guy is saying SHH (Sonic Hedgehog will induce ectoderm to become neural plate).

All the way to the right is our tree with four branches (week 4). There is a heart hanging on it. And the branches seem to look like limbs (during week 4, the heart begins to beat with FOUR chambers. The upper and lower limb buds also begin to form).

Below that four limb tree is a little baby in a carriage with a number EIGHT shirt (on week 8, the genEIGHTalia have male and female characteristics).
