Lipid Management

Describe respiratory epithelial cells, goblet cells, alveolar macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells, CD4 and CD8 T cells, and how they contribute to innate defenses against respiratory infections.

The innate immune system is our non-adaptive protective system against foreign body invaders. “Innate” because we were born with these. This chapter specifically explores innate immune defenses in the respiratory system, including epithelial cells, goblet cells, alveolar macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells, and CD4 and CD8 T cells.
